Orange Sweet Essential Oil

Sweet Orange is what the name suggest – Sweet… with a rich sweet orange flavour. Sweet Orange is a common and universal Orange that caters to four groups: Navel oranges (e.g. Washington, Bahia), Common oranges (e.g. Valencia), Pigmented oranges (e.g. Blood), and Acidless or Sugar oranges. All of which are Sweet Oranges, an evergreen tree, smaller than the Bitter variety and less hardier.

Sweet Oranges ripe mainly in Winter, whilst some will fruit in Summer. Growing for either their rich, sweet, orange coloured fruit – that is either consumed fresh or processed for juice, for their superior fruit. The orange tree is a native of China and India. It is now cultivated around the world, on all continents that thrive on the central, southern hemisphere from sub-tropical to Mediterranean type climates.

This oil is cold pressed from the Orange peel.  * Orange Sweet essential oil may contain naturally occurring bergaptens or furo/furano-coumarins, which are known to cause skin phototoxicity. This means that skin can discolour when exposed to direct sunlight, and in some cases cause burning. *
